Alba/SB Pools, based in Brechin, Angus, are celebrating following their win of two prestigious British pool industry awards.

The firm won the Gold SPATA award for best commercial pool for a hotel in Stratford upon Avon and a certificate of merit for a residential indoor pool in Aberdeen at the British pool industry equivalent to Hollywood's Oscars. The awards are made by SPATA (The Swimming Pool and Allied Trades Association) - the UK industry watchdog for pool building standards.

No strangers to SPATA awards, the company won the Peter Geekie Cup for Pool Business of the Year in 2004, which applauds overall excellence on pool building and customer service.

Founded by brothers William and Stephen Booth, Alba Pools has been building pools for about twenty years, gaining a reputation for high quality products and excellent service. They pride themselves in attention to detail and stunning design. Their gold award winning pool was built for a hotel in Stratford upon Avon, and featured the unusual design brief of trying to avoid Shakespeare's Tree.
